The Youth are Here...

We are so happy to have the young people back at OCC this summer.
They are all happy to be here and eager to work in our church area.

See their happy smiles!

What a fine group.

So thankful for everyone and everything God has given us.

Prayer Request...

Hi Church Family,

I am asking you to all pray for young Derek once again.

His cancer has relapsed and he is very sick right now.

His parents and big sister are so wanting him to feel better and be well.

Thank you very much.

Prayer Request from Erinn S.

PLEASE pray for Caren Castillo, one of my former students from Palau. She was injured in a motor vehicle accident and is in critical condition. This is a friendly, kind, smart girl with her whole life ahead of her, and she needs and deserves all the support she can get right now. Thank you.

Prayer Request - June 9th, 2014

Dear Church Family

We invite you to pray for one another.
The happy times and the sad times all need acknowledgement and prayer.

Karen and Dave have a niece ( also a granddaughter for Gladys ) they love very much who has a couple of major health problems at this time and all the family members would appreciate your prayers for her.
She is a young mum with two school aged children and a hard working husband.
Good health is so important to us so if you could take time each day to pray for this lady it would bring comfort and love to the families involved.

Thank you for caring and sharing in prayer time.

Wedding in Maine

I know it was a bit far for you to join us all in South Solon, Maine for Amanda and Tyler's wedding on May 25th, 2014. Because of the distance, we will share a few photos of their big day with you on here. Thank you for the lovely e-mail that was sent to the young couple from Orchard City SDA Church.

Here is a link to the quaint little meeting house they decided to use for their venue: The South Solon Meeting House.
It was so lovely with its frescoes and box seat pews.
The green lawn was decorated with stray daffodils and other spring flowers popping up here and there.

Amanda's family all worked together to help with the wedding and it turned out so very nice.
Flowers were done by Amanda's Aunt Sharon.
Wedding cake was made by Amanda's sister, Celeste.
Decorating and food was done by Amanda's mother, Debbie, and Amanda's Grama, Pat.
The wedding dress was sewed by Amanda with some help from her mum.
Sound was looked after by Amanda's Uncle.
The bridesmaids and groomsmen helped with serving the juice and cake.

Some of the photographer's takes from the day are on this post: Hailey Tash Photography - Amanda & Tyler.
So glad that Grampa W is here this day.

Awwwwwwwww.

Good to also have brother and dad at the wedding.

So happy together!

It was so good to be back at Orchard City SDA Church this last Sabbath!

So good to be back at our home church.

Travelling is great and enriches our lives but being back at home and going to our own little church is really wonderful!

Here are just a few photos to ease us back into the blog page again.

Things are changing around OCSDA church.
Can you spot them all?
Thank you Keith for the improvements as they keep on changing the comfort level  in our church.

Thanks for the wonderful sermon, Keith W.  It was too interesting to pick up my camera for a photo to go on this page. :)

Our peaceful pond area.

Lovely Iris flowers growing on the hillside.

Our resident killdeer.  Watch out for nests in the rocks as this is the season.

Wild purple vetch growing along a fence.

Flowers from around our church area.
They sure brighten things up.
Have a good week.
