Freedom Singers Reunite

On Sabbath  evening at 7 om at Rutland church Simon and his group came together for an evening of songs and piano playing by Tim Patton.

It was great to hear Tim make a medly from favourite songs people called out.

Silent Night was the first one chosen.

It was a rousing group of songs, mostly hymns put together,  on the spot by Tim.

Denise was called up to join Stefan and Simon as was Wesley also.

Pastor ended the program with prayer.

It was a treat to be there.

Womens Campout at Ashton Creek May 2023

We decided to go visit the women's  campout for a few hours Sabbath afternoon.

After a lovely hour plus a bit drive we arrived at the hall.

Some ladies were at their trailers and some walking down the road, some were searching for herbs.

Soon we found friends who were happy to see us and met more ladies who quickly became friends.

The room looked so fresh and pretty with the glass vases of fresh flowers in purples and pinks and whites.

At 3 pm the next meeting started and we enjoyed stories told of miracles, songs sung and prayer.

Oh yes, and a mystery surprise too.

After a little more visiting it was time to get back on the road.

The speaker of the weekend spoke before we arrived but was to talk again at 7 p.m

Her name is Janelle Corbett and comes from Nampa, Idaho.

She grew up in the Fraser Valley.

She completed her Nedley Residental program and is a trained Associate for the Nedley Depression and Anxiety Recovery Community Program which she leads I  Idaho.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.  This is the bedrock of Janelle's faith.
