Yay!! OCC.

Another Sabbath Day... another time to get together to worship.  The children looked so happy all involved in their learning activities to better understand God's Word.

Oops
Painting
She seemed very happy with her shaker.
He was very excited to show me his paperclip chain and show me what it did.
It was a very good way to teach this lesson.
He was showing me how you make this work.
"A magnet served as an exciting way to demonstrate Abram & family following God without seeing Him as leading"
He liked this too.
The colouring page to go with the lesson. Can you tell what it is?

In the adult SS we were learning about spices and how each one is unique and does a different work then the next one.

Jerrie Lou shared with us about star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, cumin, and then told us that salt is an element and not a spice.  We remember the story in the Bible about how each part of the body works together to do their share... just like a spice does it unique job to flavour foods so we need to be doing our best to share our flavours with others around us.
Sharing Jesus.

Thank you for the help, Jerrie Lou.

What spice are you!?!
Lori and I shared the lesson discussion and hopefully she had enough time.  It is always good when everyone who wants to add something gets a chance to share. Thank you, Lori.

What a happy smile.  Something nice was being said.
Explaining about the evening ahead.

Alex was VERY excited about the sharing and liking of our fb page.

Faithful trombonists... for Praise Time.

Faithful song leader also.
she makes us feel welcome.

Wonderful, wonderful, yes my Lord is wonderful...

Dave came in with a bang... for the children's story.

nothing as great as having your props with you for the story.  we all were paying attention.

A wonderful time to have four young people in one family dedicated to God.

Little D is so sweet - Pastor is loving it.

Dedication Prayer

Does this face help you remember the Pastor's sermon from last weekend?  He was tell us about the meal he tried to eat but was not used too and then how later he enjoyed that certain meal so much.  Sour milk.

This is his normal smiling face.

Happy family... lets support them all we can.

Fun for the Children

Jason D. arranged a little visit to Wigglesworth's place to see the little ponies and have the children who wanted to ride them have a turn.

The older Kid's Corner joined in with the Kid's Corner and they all enjoyed their field trip.
The adults who went along seemed to be smiling, too.

Once they all returned to their classroom building, their leaders had a Bible/nature scavenger hunt all ready for them to go on. They had two teams to hunt for the clues.

Seems like they enjoyed their Sabbath School time held in a different way.

Here are some photos that Shannon and Cherri snapped for us to see.
Thanks for sharing!

Sabbath ~ November 28th, 2015 at Orchard City SDA Church

Alysia and Derrick C. came to visit and to share with us their unique family. Their children, Levi and Myla, were at our SS, too. They shared their story of Myla's adoption and of the faith and trust of their son. It was a very moving and interesting story. Thank you so much for coming to OCC and sharing.
James made this lovely little angel in Sabbath School. He told me it had three layers.
Happy little snowman and his big sister came to church. He always has the biggest, nicest smiles.
The Pastor had a dedication prayer for Alexander after I interviewed him about his mission trip in January.
He is going to India with 14 of his classmates and 4 teachers.
Alexander's dad bought him a little gift at the KCS banquet/silent auction evening.
Singing " My God is So Big, So Strong and So Mighty" with the adults.
Our Orchard City band plays pretty expertly and we enjoy hearing them so much.
They played "Every Day with Jesus" by ear for SS.
He knows the answer to Doug's question about what animal was on the screen.
We learned that little mice chew on the ends of these to get their calcium.
Such an interesting Children's story. Thank you, Doug!
Nothing like showing a child what it is like.
Going to collect the Children's Offering.
Our Special Music was just visiting this Sabbath. After a quick conference with Vicki they had a really lovely treat for us.
Vicki played the piano and Denise sang  - "Silent Night". Thank you so much for being willing to share your music with out warning.
"While We Wait" ~ Pastor Bob preaching one of his few last sermons at OCC.

For Sabbath November 28th, 2015 Sabbath School

This coming Sabbath at Sabbath School the Carlson family will share their story of faith and trust.

Please come out to hear them tell their story of how they were able to adopt their little baby girl this fall. You might even get to meet her, too.

We all have a story in our lives. I am thankful that Carlson's are willing to share this weekend with us.
