Sabbath September 17th 2022

OCC had an interactive overview of the lesson, Dying Like a Seed,  first before the church service.

Bonnie introduced the CHIP program starting again in the Kelowna Church and then asked Doug to come up and talk about the benefits of charcoal.

He shared about uses of charcoal and its benefits and then told a story about his use lately when he ate some berries he should not have and how the charcoal helped him through it.

The Praise Team for this weekend.  So nice to have them all there together.

Some of the children up front for Children's song.

Doug L shared about Hummingbird moths and his experience with one.

Used from internet... how beautiful this moth is.

This little girl was listening.

Our speaker this morning was Don M.
His talks are inspirational and easy to listen too.  Thank you for coming to OCC.

Nearing the end of the sermon, Marilyn went to the piano and started to softly play as Don read the words of the song.

So lovely for a husband and wife team to be willing to come share their talents and words with us.

He is ready with a smile or ready for a chat.  Always so nice to see him at OCC.

Doug L said this sundog means cold weather is coming.  Enjoy the lovely autumn first though.

Farewell to Rich and Debbie

Orchard City church was sad to to have to say so long to our dear friends Rich and his wife Deb.

Rich has been so cheerful when greeting friends and visitors in the mornings and as a deacon he was at church to open doors or clear driveways or sidewalks.

He has been such an important part of our church family.  Rich helped with dish washing after a great fellowship meal where he often brought delicious food to share.

We enjoyed hearing Rich's deep voice when he had the scripture reading and prayer or shared a reading at a special program.

Deb has shared her beautiful singing voice by singing for worship services at various times.

Thank you to those who shared some pictures of the last Sabbath shared at OCC.
