Sabbath at OCC

Hi and Happy Sabbath we hear a lot.

So nice to hear it at Orchard City Church this past Sabbath.

Sunshine welcomed us too.

We are very fortunate to.have this beautiful place to praise the Lord each week.

We were so happy to have several people from Winfield church here at  this Sabbath due to an electrical problem in Lake Country I understand.

We also pray for one's who because of illness or recent loss were not able to worship with us this Sabbath.

Prayer Time and SS lesson started off the morning.

Lori is someone who smiles often and has a positive attitude. It comes across in the lesson discussion too.

Are you still trying to memorize the opening Bible text.  These first ones seem to be familiar verses.

These bright young students were dressed and ready for their Student Led Worship at the Academy.

Mission Spotlight came next with an excellent topic.  It was about a baby girl name TMI...Total Mission Involvement...what was being accomplished in the churches of that area.

If we are involved in Missions we are not thinking about ourselves so much and it leads to growth.

After Prayer 3 young ladies had the Praise Time along with the musicians.

These 3
These 3 added to the morning with their willingness and smiles. We sang some hymns we have not sung for a long time.  It is good to have these words in our minds too along with the Bible verses.

Beverly was the elder in charge for the morning.
She is very faithful in coming to OCC when she is in town and by participating so much.

Children s song b was The B I B L E...then story by Lori about the moon.

Thank you Lori.

Offering taken up by the children including good natured Weldon.
He sure adds to our church.

Our littlest one loves coming to church and learns so much. We love to see him each week and his lovely mumma too.

Scripture and Prayer and a very special sweet music duets came next.

Thank you Delisha for inviting them to come out and sing.

We so love to have teens attend OCC.  Sam is learning AV which is so great and he helps with a little deacon duty too.
Thank you for getting special music arranged as it is great to hear many sweet voices at church different weeks.

Our David...trying to fill two places at once...scripture and prayer.  He was doing the spaghetti meal things too with Karen.
Two very committed OCC members whom we sure appreciate.

Brad Jacobson our speaker this Sabbath.  A little different then his typical type of presentation but good for our minds to think about.  AI Versus BI.

It was very well thought out and challenged our thinking.

Rena is such a joyfilled person with a wealth of knowledge. Her travels take her wide and far but she comes back  to this valley and enriches all who are around her. Thank you for reinforcement at O C C this day.

Doug not only takes excellent photos and shares them but he also is a teller of childrens stories and AV person and helps set up for meals downstairs plus other things.  This Sabbath he was in charge of the slides moving ahead at the right time. He is excellent at all he does.
Pastor Jim and Joann Weir came this Sabbath too and it was nice they sat by me!!
It was great to have them at OCC as they were our Pastoral team for awhile.  We sure do live them.

This statement was written in which year?

Well, long ago when the printing press was invented.   Interesting, eh.

One of the last slides...makes us want to memorize the precious verses in our Bibles.

The content between these 2 slides was very enlightening but best to read along with the speakers explanation.

Hopefully he will share this some where else too and you can hear it there.

Closing prayer and lunch grace said too.

This young man was very thoughtful...talking to himself while waiting to be greeting by Karen.  Off the two of them went for their meal.

This wonderful lady is a quiet, caring person.  She adds so much to our church family.  Her hands are full just now but comes when she can.
It is always great to have a chat with her.

On the drive home...such beauty to be seen.

Hi and Happy Sabbath.  Thanks for joining us at Orchard City SDA church this morning.
