My friend Vadym asked if I wanted to.do something to help in the war areas of Ukraine as he knows Don and I loved the people there and cared about them and their country.
In our trip to Ukraine we met Vadym and his father Boris. Vadym who was a young Dr drove our group all around Ukraine while his father Boris was our guide.
Pastor Teranski and Juanita had invited us on this tour.
Several others were with us.
We learned a lot and visited many churches and the wonderful people who went to them.
We visited beautiful health retreats and ADRA buildings where many people found renewed health with the many programs there.
For a few days we stayed with Boris and his wife Valentina and her aged mother. It was a refreshing time and I am so thankful I met them all.
Now back to helping.
Vadym is now married and after going many times to TChad to do surgeries at the clinic with Olen and Denae Netteberg, settled down to work and raise their family in UK.
He is able to receive funds and pass them on to his mother who works with her husband to buy many local foods and deliver them to very hungry people along the war zone.
Pastor Teranski sends money from his Sabbath School class and many others who enjoy helping and this helps Boris and Valentina get the food to the hungry people.
Valentina is able now to communicate well with messaging...reading our texts in Ukrainian and sending her texts to us so we can read them in English.
She has sent me many phone photos of the two tones of apples bought and delivered and the packets they made up of essential food stuffs to take to the hungry.
It is amazing to have our few dollars turn I to sustenance for people in a short while.
