Sabbath School is such a great place to begin our worship service and this weekend Glenda had the program. After the opening song and prayer about prayer, different people shared about someone who they knew had prayed for them. It is always encouraging to know that someone is praying for you. It is a wonderful gift to do for others. It is comforting and important to pray ourselves too.
There was a little Bible quiz and then a short mission video about where our 13th Sabbath offerings went in 2013 and will also go this quarter too. If we start now to think about what we want to share on 13th Sabbath for these special projects it will be something special to have for a project.
Look on the back of your quarterly and find all the projects for this quarter.
Lori took the first part of the lesson sharing time and started with handing us all a copy of a time line for this study in Ezra and Nehemiah.

Thank you for taking the time to put this timeline together, Lori. |

Starting the lesson sharing time. |
Then for the last part we reflected on thought provoking questions about "What walls are breaking down around you now?"
"What walls need to be repaired?"
"What are some burdens God is placing on our hearts now?"
We went into the Praise Time with Karenda leading and Melissa joining in the singing while Howard played the piano and sang. It is a great, lively song service when these young people are leading.
Dave announced about an upcoming event - the 2nd annual Treasure Hunt by the Waterfront.
Children's Song, Story and Offering came next and Dave told a personal story about his uncle.
We always enjoy Special Music and this time it was Dave W and Doyle playing their trombones in a lovely duet.

And prayer. |

Herb Larsen Junior shared the sermon this morning. It was a powerful one with many Bible texts... all about guilt and how it can be counter fit and how forgiveness works from God. He started with 1 John 1:9 and telling about two men in the Bible... doing much the same things but having different outcomes. Peter and Judas. Isaiah 43:25 was read as well as Isaiah 12 and Ps 65:3 and Hebrews 9:14. This is just a little start of the texts and stories shared. Thank you, Herb for coming to Kelowna and sharing with us. |

Friends after church |
Thank you for joining us.
Walter had a special birthday a couple of days before this Sabbath and he had some visitors and hugs and good wishes...
|
Pastor Josue comes to visit and bring a little sweetness along for the birthday man. |
|
Sitting in church with his daughter is special too. |
|
Having these two come to share Walter's special day was great. |
|
A Doug hug for Walter. |

Enjoying the 95th birthday greetings. |
