We celebrated the occasion of Reg and Pat's 25th wedding anniversary at our fellowship meal on Sabbath, June 9th, 2012. Our fellowship room was full of happy friends of the couple and visitors from Teen Challenge.
Congratulations Reg and Pat. We wish you well in the future years.
They will enjoy more well wishes on their actual wedding anniversary date of June 28th.

Sabbath School and Church on June 16th, 2012
What a pleasant surprise it was to have the classroom door open and have the children come in with ribbons for all the fathers. They made them in their class and then brought them around to the different classes to give them out. They had precious smiles as they handed ribbon to each man.
Bryn lead in the praise time and the children seemed to really enjoy their song.
It was "Peter and John Went to Pray." They really liked the last part where the song says -- "They went walking and leaping and praising God. Walking and leaping and praising God."
Julie is home... the little girls are so excited to see her again. Awwww!
Bryn and Ty had the special music selection on guitar and violin and with their voices, too.
The children's story had a very stuffed animals in it this week. Here is the fuzzy little bear acting out his part. Grama was the brave, brave broom chaser in the this bear story!!
The sermon was by Frank Harford and he had some very interesting photos and also a very old Bible belonging to his relative. The verse he used for his sermon was a verse that was in the front of this old, old Bible.
So glad Mr. C. and his wife come to our church. We missed them when they were gone for their grandson's wedding. The ribbon he is wearing is what the children gave out during the lesson time. He wears it well, like all of his medals from the war.

Sunshine Bands at Sutherland Hills - June 9th, 2012
On the second Sabbath of each month, it is our church's turn to visit the people who live at Sutherland Hills Rest Home.
It was nice to go along and sing together and listen to Roland's talk and then sing some more.
The people seem to really enjoy it and like to have us talk to them individually when it is over.

Four members of one family (mother, father, daughter, and granddaughter) lead the singing and Don helps, too. |
Enjoying the lovely flowers Carol brought. |
These are two ladies that Walter and Esther go to see sometimes on their Tuesday visits. |
A lovely lady. She smiled so nicely when she saw my camera. |
She comes to visit her husband every day. Such a lovely couple. |
Goodbye until next month. |

Teen Challenge Sabbath - June 9th, 2012
We were in for a great Sabbath day. An interesting Sabbath School and lesson study, lots of children for their class and for children's song and story, and excellent service by Teen Challenge, special music with Tyler and a fellowship meal with celebrations for Reg and Pat.
That is one full day, but we also enjoyed ourselves at Sutherland Hills Nursing home singing and talking with the people there.
Let the photos tell the story now, K.

Grama and Granddaughter lead us in Praise Time before Sabbath School starts |
Carol always has interesting thoughts and illustrations for her Sabbath School.

Sharing time |
JL tells such great animals stories, but her bear stories from up north are the best! |
Young ladies help out with Priase Time between services |
Children's song |
We enjoyed D's message for the church service. Friendships are very important and our friendship/relationship with God is most important. |
