Another Awesome Day

Sabbath School is such a great way to start our time at church each Sabbath.  It brings us together and guides our minds to think about God and others.

Bonnie had this weeks SS program about God's 5 Love Languages.
The first three were explained and the last two will need to be another week.

They all did great.  It is so wonderful to have so many people involved in SS.

Thanks for leading the lesson, Dave.

So nice to have Bryn back to join in for SS special music.

Welcoming,  at OCC.
Pretty to see the autumn decor.

Sunny September Sabbath

I had some help with SS and it was great to have Vicki share a really nice Mission Story.  https://am.adventistmission.org/mqa19q3-14

Then after many people shared what they were grateful for this past week, we listened to a reading of a Mother's Story and how it tells of the fact that we are building great cathedrals and no one sees or is often acknowledged, but God sees and He cares.

Lesson leading upstairs was by Alex.

Lesson for the week in review.

Alex leading this lesson.

Adding to the Praise  Time... thank you, Joel.

It is the Beginning of September

We enjoyed a "trip" to the Pathfinder Camporee in Oshkosh this Sabbath as Todd D and his two children shared with OCC.

He brought some pictures to share and told us of the many many Pathfinder clubs that came together and of the great plays and displays put on for the clubs to watch and learn from and how many gave their hearts to Jesus during this event.

It is so lovely to walk into the church and hear the voices singing hymns in the morning.  Thank you Selena and Kaylin.

One of the camporee shirts.

One of the patches from Camporee.

Thank you Todd and your family for coming to share with us on this morning.
some of their pins - pin trading is a fun activity at camporee

Paul stepped in to tell a story about a wasp.

Children's song and story captured.

Dawna and Dave bringing us special music for the church service time.  It was lovely.
Beverly brought the sermon " Coincidence?" to us this morning.  It was very easy to listen too and to remember encouraging us to find ways that God has directly lead in our lives.

The children's bags are put to good use most every Sabbath.  The quiet books and toys are taken to their seats to be used during the sermon time.

Singing is an important part of our worship services.

A favourite song for the children " I Got Joy Like  A Fountain"

Everyone sings along with the children's song and has fun doing the actions too.

Visitors are so welcome - please come and visit again.

It is always wonderful to be part of a meal together.  Zucchini cake freshly made with chickpea whip...

Sabbath at OCC ~ August 31st

It was so very nice to have Brooklyn share with us about her mission trip to Mexico for our SS feature this Sabbath.

Brooklyn had a video to show that had the different students talking on it and telling a little about their thoughts of the mission trip and it was nice to hear.
It was very interesting also to see the children at VBS or playing with the students.
And doing the dentistry help too.

Thank you, Brooklyn, for letting us help you by praying for your trip and for telling us about it now that you are safely back home.

Thanks to Doug F for getting the projector to work for the video.  Thanks to Brooklyn for telling us all about her mission trip.
Lesson study time was held in two adult classes and the children's ones too.
It is so wonderful to have dedicated people who come and give their time to have something for the children to learn more of Jesus each weekend.

It is so wonderful to hear from a youth in our church and see and hear the excitement  of the joy it brings to help others.

Taking a little break between SS and Church
Joyful greeting in the parking lot.  So great to see friends return to worship with us.

Adding to the worship with his music.

Elder of the day... Roland.

Jerrie Lou - adding her part to the service.

Shannon told and Ryder experienced this children's story about crayons.  She had a bunch of nice new crayons and had Ryder break some...even when we are broken we can still colour and are still worthwhile.  Thank you, Shannon.

Bright eyed little one enjoys OCC too, on mummy's lap and with Grampa close by.

Karen brings us the Bible passage for the sermon and the morning prayer

Richard plays a beautiful medley of three hymns on his harmonica.

Ken Fox leads into our service with  greetings and prayer.  Thank you for your heartfelt talk about God's grace for us.

Our sign is so pretty and someone keeps it up so nicely too. Thank you to that someone.

On the drive home from OCC.
