OCC Welcomes You

Spice - let us all be the spice we are meant to be.

Some liked them and some did not... cumin cookies.  A real Indian recipe.

She led the lesson this time and had a lot of participation.
This young lady really helped out this week at both SS and for church special music when she was asked to replay her piece.  It was lovely to hear her play and so nice of her to be willing to help out in SS.  Thank you!!.

So lovely to have her in our church.  Happy Birthday and enjoy your new year.

A story about a little fawn.  Thank you, Dave, for your interesting and varied stories you share.

Thank you for helping with the offering.  Youth deacon in action.

Matthew 13:24-26 was read by Paul, followed by prayer.

Always nice when someone volunteers to read a text.

Pastor J Molina sharing the sermon this morning  - "The Good Seed Part 2"
We are created to bring forth that life God has intended us to be.
Let's not compare ourselves to others but be what God has made us to be.

He wants us to be good seed or good grapes.
Thank you for the one(s) that bring flowers to our church and make it look cheerful.

Afternoon Lake Baptism

It was a joyous occasion when we met at Kaloya Park in the late afternoon on Sabbath.

Dave felt in his heart that he wanted to be baptised and Pastor Bob was happy to have the privilege of going out into the cool lake water with the smokey air all around and baptise him.

Church friends and family were there to pray together and share in this special time.

Sweet watermelon was handed out for all to enjoy as we fellowshipped together.

Praying together.

They head out from shore in the chilly water... thank you for the photo, Linda.

Dave's daughter shares in the special time.

Thank you for sharing your photo Beverly.

Sweet waterlily given to Liza from Doug...

Mo enjoyed watching too.

Let's have more of these gatherings.

August 17th at OCC

Lori led the Sabbath School and then Pastor Bob had a lively discussion for the lesson upstairs.

Karen picked the children's song " I've Got Peace Like a River"

Most everyone likes to join in with the singing and/or the actions.

Dave tells stories that all the adults want to hear too... this one was about a truck with some people parked in the truck runaway lane, having a relaxing picnic... until Dave drove by... moral of the story... people need to be warned about dangers and we also need to share the love of Jesus with people who are in danger.

Dave and Doyle played a beautiful trombone duet.  Thank you, men.

Doyle getting the Pastor all ready so we will be able to hear him when he share his sermon for the morning.

So nice to have Pastor Bob as the speaker for the service.  His stories and Bible verses and illustrations were so helpful and encouraging.  Thank you, Pastor Bob.

A cheerful deacon.

A happy visitor.. so nice to have Enka's mum visiting.

Enka introduced her brother and mother and then told us her brother was going to play a piano piece for us.

We sure did enjoy hearing him play the piano.  Thank you so much.

No nice blue sky this Sabbath but there is warmth in our hearts as we go out for another week.
