Pathfinders Just Now

Today a team of our Kelowna Pathfinder Club is in Berrien Springs Michigan for a Bible Experience.

Mike thanked me for sharing his photos with you of where they are just now.

Please pray for these great young people and the memories they are making along with the Book of the Bible they have put in their brains.

A live link is posted on OCC fb page.

And I heard Silvertip Pathfinders took first place.

Thank you Mike for sharing with us.

Marion Lakusta Celebration of Life

On Friday, April 25th was a Celebration of Life held for Marion Lakusta by her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The warmth and love shared there was remarkable as the songs and stories were shared by family members.

Brad Thorp had the short Message of Comfort and Hope.

The beautiful pink bouquets of flowers reminded us of Marions enjoyment of flowers.

The meal after was  delicious Ukranian foods.

Let us remember to pray for this wonderful family as they miss their mum, grama, sister, friend and auntie.

Sabbath April at OCS

I was disappointed to miss this special Sabbath program at the Academy.

Glad Beverly was there and shared a few photos with me.

Her Grandson Kodie was one of the speakers for the service.  She was very happy to hear him.

Do you recognize the little cherubs here?

Christina and her son Kodie
Bodies speaking.
Would have been so great to hear him.
Thank you Bevery for sharing your pictures.

God bless our school, teachers and students with their families.

Let's pray for them all.

April 19th Church Time in Puerto Vallarta

On vacation in Mexico but still got to enjoy church with members in one of the 3 or 4 nearby churches.

It was a bit hard to spot the church but it was there.

Greeters were very friendly and also wearing the white blouses with darker colorful scarf embroidered with SDA logo.

Pathfinder Talk

So enjoyed the singing and special music.

Deacon
The deacons were dressed in white shirts with these dark red ties.
He was very excited to share.

His overview of the sermon.

A man coming down the aisle reading a part.
He spoke of our need to know what is in this book...The Great Controversy.
The key text
He put a lot of planning into his sermon by having two men come up the aisle reading a part.
The headset given to us while one man spoke English for the sermon and it worked well. The man who spoke talked so rapidly that the man translating only gave us the overview but that was great.

Ending of the Sabbath. It was a good experience.

In Abbotsford

The church was full, full, full of children and adults.

Primary SS was so fun and intetesting.  Aurelia told a continued story of young girl Ellen White. The children enjoy it very much. Alison had so many activities there was not time to do them all and the children kept coming into class.

Praise Time included two girls I know well.

The lady who shared children s story told me it was her very first time. She did great in having a story about trees then had a tedn come help hand out a little tree to each child to take home and plant.

An enjoyable tasty meal followed the short sweet service about the Holy Spirit.
Part of the meal team.
They announced that visitors would go first and then children could follow. They made that happen in a kind way.
With sooooo many people there it is great when people take a small amount at the beginning and come vack after everyone has had some and not to fill plates so full you food gets thrown out. They announced this too before prayer.

 Beautiful flowers all over.

Hope it was a happy Sabbath at OCC too.
