Spring Sabbath at OCC

 April 4th at Orchard City Church on Garner Road....

The memory Verse of the last week by word.

Two people had the verse memorized  and repeated it for us.  Then we did the word by word activity. 

Now we need to keep repeating it to keep it in our minds.

Memory Text: “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love” (John 15:9, NKJV).

And this week's verse is:

“ ‘And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent’ ” (John 17:3, NKJV). 

Let's challenge ourselves and see who can memorize it this week.

Following the Lesson Study and Mission Spotlight came the Praise Time then the Children's song and story and offerings.

A special treat was The Orchard City Choir. 

They sang one song and we wished they would have sung one more.

BC Conference President Brad Thorp Retires April 30th

The British Columbia Conference announces the retirement of Pastor Brad Thorp as President, effective April 30.

After many years of dedicated service, Pastor Thorp’s leadership has guided our Conference through important seasons of growth, transition, and renewed focus on mission. His influence has extended not only across British Columbia, but beyond.

This moment invites both gratitude and reflection for a life of service, leadership, and commitment to sharing hope.

Sabbath March 28th

Breakfast at church seemed like a happy time. 

Lori hosted it and did it so nicely.

Such tasty food for the breakfast.thank you all for participating. 

Sher got a lovely 13th SabbathI feature going. Here she is practicing with the children in Sabbath School.

After the meal prayer time came next and then the Pastor had the lesson discussion.

Soon it was time to head upstairs for Praise Time.

Beverly was platform person. 

The 13th Sabbath Feature was very nicely done.

Jacob started by sharing what a 13th Sabbath is meant for.

Then 9 young people read a memory verse from this past quarter.

The next part was sharing a song.

It was very nice for them all to do so well.
