June 1st, 2013 - Grades 3-7 from OKAA share with OCC

They were a very excited bunch of students at Orchard City SDA church this past Sabbath!!

And, in turn, there were rows of excited church members, parents of the students, grandparents and friends all waiting to see what they had planned for us to see and hear.

It was a real treat to have Alysia C's grade 3-5 class along with Rhonda R's grade 6 and 7 class share their talents and love for God with us. They shared choir songs, Bible verses, reader's theater, and more.

Pictures speak a thousand words so here are many many words for you in photos of this wonderful church service.

Teachers assemble excited children in the lower level of OCC.
Thank you for the big smile!!
All eyes on teacher.
Then they moved upstairs to the first two rows of the church sanctuary. How sharp and neat they looked in their school performance uniforms.
Children's song during our Praise Time - "Our God is So Great, So Strong, and So Mighty"
So nice to have a full church at OCC
Glenda Q. told the children's story and enjoyed having so many children there.
The children got a real treat this Sabbath as following the children's story there was a children's puppet show.
The students did a very nice job of telling the Bible story. We all enjoyed it.
The grade 3-7 choir. They sang so well even though some of their classmates were away or ill with the flu.
Mrs. Carlson introducing "her kids."
A prayer by this young student started the service.
It was wonderful to see and hear this happy student sing her solo  part with the choir.
He did so well at saying the 23rd Psalm for memory.
Part of the Reader's Theatre group. We enjoyed these readings so much.
The children were kept on their toes to say their part at the right time. They sure did super at it.
In the choir - upper grade students of this choir.
It was good to see how nicely the grade worked together.
Each student was appreciated for being there and doing so well with their part.
She quietly watched and waited for her turn in the program. One of the grade 2 students here with her sister.
The signs were for audience participation. Everyone seemed to enjoy being part of the program.
It sure did keep everyone (or almost everyone - one little one in the front row fell asleep) awake.
Sisters singing and Auntie is recording them. They did a wonderful job of their song.
They sign students were right on with their timing and right signs for us all to read.
Such a beautiful solo - "Jesus, I Heard You Have a Big House"
The little sleeper in his daddy's arms
The OKAA students sat so nicely and were so well behaved it was a pleasure to sit behind them.
They are listening to their classmate share her solo.
I thought the program just had to include this song and then right at the end they really did sing it.
"Silver and Gold Have I None, But Such as I Have Give I Thee"
Beverly H., the school board chairperson, enjoyed the children's church service so much. Were those tears in her eyes?
I think many of us had some happy tears at some point in the service or another. It was sweet and so well planned and done.
Everyone really appreciated all the hard work and great effort Mrs. Carlson and her class put into this church service.
Thank you so very much. Great to have a support team with you, too.
Closing Hymn
Pastor H. Larson shares his thanks with Mrs Carlson. I think many more shared with her their appreciation
of her bringing her class, and all the good memory work that they did before this morning.
It was a beautiful day and it was good to be able to visit after church in the warm sunshine.
Just finished peeking at the killdeer nest over by the gate.

 What a lovely Sabbath morning.
