Faith in humanity

I have not been home a lot since April but this site needs to be updated.
This might be the thing to get us all back into sharing on here again.

These photos in the link below of people doing something kind for people they do not know reminded me of a little story in my life.
Faith in humanity restored

My mum, Alison, Bryn, Tyler, and I were heading out to California for a Suzuki Strings Institute. Along the way we stopped at attractions we had time to see.
One hot day we drove up the mountain to Oregon Caves and went on their very interesting tour.
Back on the highway again, travelling along at typical speed, I suddenly felt the van shift and weave.
I slowed down and stopped on the shoulder of the highway. When I got outside I immediately saw that my left rear tire was blown and laid in strips on the asphalt.

Not two minutes later a car drove down the off ramp and pulled up behind me.
The couple in the car took charge and he looked after my tire while she got the kids up the bank by the road and sitting on a blanket while giving them doughnuts and cold drinks that were left over from their church weekend retreat.

All of a sudden the man left in the car while the wife looked on in shocked disbelief. He went to get a new tire on my rim (without taking money from me to do so) and she was so surprised he was willing to be of service to me, as it was not like him, she said. The wife said it was really in answer to prayers for him and from the weekend church retreat she was seeing this change in her husband.

Soon he was back and put the working tire on the van and with hugs and exchange of address they were on their way home, and we were pulling back onto the highway with thoughts of why and how all of this had happened and that were were safe and had not even lost much driving time.

Please take the time to share how someone has been kind to you when you least expected it.
It makes us all dig into our hearts and want to share more when we read and see these stories and photos.
I would love it if everyone would send in one short story or one photo of a RAof K.
Thank you so much.
