Please pray for Derek

Many of you know Derek and his family. His father was a pastor at the Rutland Church for several years before they moved to California. Many of you will also remember us praying for Derek three years ago when he first started his journey with leukemia. We prayed for him as a church then, we rejoiced for him and his family when he went into remission, and we have started praying for him again recently as he has had a relapse with his leukemia.

In the past few days and weeks Derek has undergone total body radiation in preparation for a stem cell transplant. Yesterday his overseas donor had the stem cells harvested, and they are being transported to the US. Derek will likely have his transplant surgery around midnight tonight. Please continue to pray for him as he prepares to go into surgery, and as he continues his treatments and recovers from the surgery.
