Sabbath ~ April 11th, 2015

Lori S. had our Sabbath School and it was very interesting.

She introduced us to a man who learned how to forgive. His name is Louie Zamperini and he was a track runner.

You can read about him in the story below or you can find a YouTube video about his life to watch.
Louie Zamperini's story: Part 1Part 2 & Part 3 - This Week's Story

What would we do if we were in that situation? Louie chose to forgive.
That is quite a lesson for all of us to think about. Thank you, Lori for sharing this story with us.

After lesson study in the small classes, we enjoyed a guitar/voice Praise Time with Heidi, Keith and little Tess.
They lead us in "I Sing for Joy"
Alexander led us in prayer...

Pastor Tetz had the Children's Story and we all listened attentively.
It was about a young boy named Francis and how much he loved his dad.
Francis loved his dad as much as all the miles the roads on the map went...
This was a great segue into the sermon on John 3:16.
For God so Loved the World.... He gave us flowers.

The scripture texts to look up are as follows:
Romans 5:17-21
Jeremiah 31:3
Deuteronomy 7:13

Pastor Bob stopped and sang "Wide, Wide as the Ocean" in the middle of his sermon as it speaks about God's great love for us.

Thank you, Pastor Bob, for your care for our church.

More flowers out doors that show His love for us.

Fellowship meal followed the church service and then came Sunshine Bands.
