Fun for the Children

Jason D. arranged a little visit to Wigglesworth's place to see the little ponies and have the children who wanted to ride them have a turn.

The older Kid's Corner joined in with the Kid's Corner and they all enjoyed their field trip.
The adults who went along seemed to be smiling, too.

Once they all returned to their classroom building, their leaders had a Bible/nature scavenger hunt all ready for them to go on. They had two teams to hunt for the clues.

Seems like they enjoyed their Sabbath School time held in a different way.

Here are some photos that Shannon and Cherri snapped for us to see.
Thanks for sharing!

Vice President for the BC Conference

Dr. Ern Brake Elected as VP for Administration

On March 20, 2016, the Board of Directors of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (British Columbia Conference) unanimously elected Dr. Ern Brake to be their next Vice President for Administration and Executive Secretary, effective immediately.

“Ern Brake’s years of dedicated labour have prepared him for this important role,” says Mark Johnson, President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada (SDACC). “Ern loves Jesus and I am confident that he will be an effective leader in the British Columbia Conference.”

March 5th 2016 Sabbath at OCC

This Sabbath was the start of a new month.

New beginnings are always interesting and full of wondering what this new time will bring.

Dave had the SS and introduced  the idea of "I have a Dream".  He shared Martin Luther King's dream and then asked us to share ours.

People participated and share what dreams they have.

We all have a dream of going home to Heaven one day and know it is not just a wish or a dream but is real.  What an amazing thought to think of - being in Heaven with Jesus.

Pastor Bob was back and it was so nice to have him at OCC again.

He led the lesson study time.

Pastor Bob  - always serving.   Showing us Jesus.
The children's Sabbath School had an interesting art work to do about the ocean.

Blue star fish on top of quinoa starfish.
Beautiful starfish.

The older children's class - with Cherri

"I've Got Peace Like a River" singers.
We had our Pastor back and he played his trombone too.
Praise Time musicians.

I think this is 'I've got joy like a fountain."

Really interested in the children's story Dave E told.

I think we all enjoyed Dave's first children's story he told this Sabbath.  He had the cracking ice sounds on his cell phone that added to the drama.
Rina and Liza are so full of life and energy and it was a joy to hear them sing our special music. Thank you so much.

Connie A played the piano for the special music.  Thank you too.
Pastor Justis has our church service this Sabbath.

Feb 6th 2016 ~ Sabbath with the visiting President.

Each Sabbath is special.
It is a time to come together and be with friends and make new ones but we really come to be with our Friend Jesus.
This Sabbath another friend came to worship with us and that was our new conference president, Wesley Torres.
Happy children singing  "I've God Peace Like a River"

Blue skies out of the windows.

Listening to Children's story.

Books for looking at in church time.

Taking time to connect with each other is important.
