the 15th of September...

This Sabbath at OCC it started with Sabbath School.  Vicki and Paul read stories about a person who appreciated the prayers their mother's prayed for them and how it changed their lives.
One was James Dobson senior and another was J Hudson Taylor and the last one was Aurelius Augustine.  Look them up if you want to read about their lives.

Lesson was led by Roland and he always has such interesting points to make from his study during the week.

Start of the 11 0'clock service.

Song Leader who got everyone to sing Happy Birthday to all the September birthday people and there were a lot of them.

The children as well as the adults enjoyed Dave's story about how the angles guided the horses hooves to go across the cattle guard with out mishap.  These boys were helpful to make a replica cattle guard.

He read the scripture for the morning.  So nice he could do this for his father's sermon.

A fun visitor to church.

Joel playing his part in the special music for the morning.  Sure do appreciate him and his music.

Another Joel had the sermon and it was powerful but simple.  He talked about the guards at Arlington Cemetery and all the many points they are inspected on once they finally are accepted as part of the honour guard.  We just need to accept the gift God gives us to be part of His team and share His love. The angels stories were an added bonus.  Thank you, Joel.

Enka reading a Bible verse during the sermon.

Someone came to help Uncle Bob with the offering.

Italian prunes for the taking.  Thank you, Dave.  They were delicious.

Almost autumn colours around.

Calm waters invite the ducks.
