Happy New Year at OCC

It was the first Sabbath in 2020 and it was good to see friends and visitors again at OCC.

It is wonderful to have people come out for the start of SS and participate in the song service and then the whole Sabbath School.

Gay shared a wonderful Mission story with us written about the mission area for this first quarter ~ the Inter- European Division.

While a woman prayed for 25 minutes for her brother,  angels were inviting him into a home and feeding him supper.

You will be able to find it online and enjoy the whole story.  https://am.adventistmission.org/mqa20q1-4

It was shared about taking thought about the children and call them by name and also there might be a rock or two or more hiding around the outdoors in the next few weeks.  If any one wants to paint one or two there will be supplies available.

First attempt at rock painting.

Heart shaped rock for someone to find.

So thankful for Pastor Bob to be willing to lead the lesson class.  He always gets lots of people involved including the visitors.
Little owl in the younger SS.

Someone is hugging this little squirrel tightly.

Looks interesting, doesn't it... take a little walk and join them for a little while one morning.
Crayons look inviting us to join the children and colour with them.

Liza had a couple of visitors in her classroom and she had this gift as part of her SS program.  Someone was anxious to see what was inside.

What do these things tell you about God!?!?!

After SS the Praise Time singing brought everyone together in the sanctuary and ready to start the church service.

Doug L had a very interesting answer to an " unprayer" ( ask him if you do not know what that is) and we all listened and watched to see what he found.

Dave W and Vicki D had a lovely special music to set the tone for the speaking part of the service.

Lori shared the story of Esther.
Deep and Wide - for all of us kids to sing.

Thank you, Lori.

Pastor Bob and Dave W were the band of trombones.

Vicki spotted this lovely scene and asked for a photo of it for the blog.  Sunshine always makes things look brighter.
Amy and Walter enjoyed a little visit after church.
Do you want a crown one day?
