Front Porch Friends - 6

I was delighted to get an email from Cherri saying they would be happy for me to come over and take a few photos.

Aren't they so great!!!

A nurse and two teachers make an interesting home, I think!

It was so enjoyable to have a nice little visit with them keeping safely distanced. The shirts are well planned.
Thank you three so much for letting me come over. And for participating in this little project.
I just could not let this opportunity to pass with out saying how wonderful it has been to have all of them help out with different  things at OCC,  mostly helping with children's programs.

And... baking and quilting and reading and looking after young children... enjoying Rocket's games and more.

For the last few years Shannon has been the person to lead the beginning and closing portions of VBS.
One year on the last day, Shannon and Cherri took a turn on the slip and slide.
The craft area is where you will find organised Cherri.
First thing in the VBS morning.
Engaging the young ones in the Sabbath School program has been a good fit for Shannon.
Cherri is a willing story sharer and older kids Sabbath School leader. Caitlin is the photographer for this butterfly release they just organised for the young ones at Shannon's school and Zoom Sabbath Schoolers.
I hope Caitlin is fine with me taking this wonderful photo from her FB page to show what a dedicated rehab nurse she is. Those eyes smile behind the shield. She seems to be a great gardener too when she has days at home.
Members of OCC from childhood, these four enjoyed lots of adventurers together.
Happiness shines through Grama and granddaughter's faces when they are together.

These three have been the cookie queens in December and also other times of the year. Their special bags of homemade treats fill December with joy.

It is so great to have these Gerber ladies as our OCC friends.

  1. These wonderful women are such a blessing in many ways, but one thing they shine at especially is at cookie time! How they manage to come up with so many delicious and different cookies is amazing! They bless each house they visit, and no one seems to know who will be included.

But the there are many other skills each one has and also quite varied and helpful in so many other ways. You have caught a wee bit here.

    1. Yes, the cookie makers... but you are right more than that. Thanks for writing.
