Sabbath is a happy day.
Coming to Orchard City Church was a joy this day.
Starting with prayer time as a sharing time is wonderful.
Then getting into the Sabbath School lesson is great.
This weekend it was about Authentic Christian Ministry.
Paul let's us know it is not about following him but by seeing Jesus in you and learning to reflect God caring loving ways.
We did an activity called Mirroring. Partners mirrored everything their leader did.
These teams were excellent in keeping their eyes fixed on their partner and doing just what they saw their partner did.
We need to be so fixed on Jesus that we mirror His good ways and deeds.
So thankful for everyone joining in Sabbath School and adding to the discussion.
Praise Time and and Children's Song were enjoyed.
Bonnie shared a beautiful song as she played the piano and accompanied herself.
It was very much enjoyed.
After Scripture by Alison and prayer by Glenda Karen introduced the people sharing testimonies and the service began.
Karen started with her very touching sharing about her early life and young motherhood and how someone invited her to church when her boys were very young.
Tracey was next and shared another touching story...a quick review of her younger days and young motherhood. The struggles endured and as we shared some tears with her Tracey told of meeting Denise and how Bible studies began and her peace at finding rest in following Jesus.
So thankful she is part of OCC family.
Beverly, Delisha and Dave told small parts of their experiences with having Jesus in their lives. How wonderful it is to hear these experiences from the heart.
We realize each one of us makes important decisions and if willing Jesus leads their/our lives.
