 Oh oh...these are end to start instead of the other way around. 

It was a very nice Thanksgiving Sabbath with visitors from washington state, Oregon, Ohio, BC and Alberta.

Lori shared talk about being grateful and it was interesting to listen too.

Autumn Sabbath at OCC September 30th 2023

 We started this Sabbath with coming in the driveway seeing the sign board telling us Simon was to have the sermon. 

Then the last lesson of the quarter, lesson 14, was reviewed with Bible texts read by a great young man and good discussion from all the  rest of the SS members.

The time flew by.

Please take time to pray for the people and requests that were asked for.

The Praise list was good to make also.

Mission Spot Light helps us know where our 13th Sabbath offering go to.  The projects are very important and it is good to remember to give generously.

Praise Time with these lovely singers and musicians came next. 

Lori shared an announcement from Joy Ministries about the upcoming Sunday afternoon class at OCC. Sign up and come join in on October 15th.

Hymns and a great song for the younger ones.  If I Was a 🦋  were sung together.

The sermon was about Gideon and was presented in a very relatable way. 

It gave us time to think about our habits and spending time each day with our Saviour.

Connor and I followed along by listening for a word starting with each letter of the alphabet and only one was thought up...

These two smiled for us...so great to see grown ups take time gor the younger ones...it makes such a difference in both lives.

Three more weeks to take time to get to know these wonderful people.

September Sabbath 23rd..

It is nice to be in Autumn time of year again.

People are back from summer excursions  and it is nice to see everyone again.  We'll, almost everyone...a few families are still traveling or visiting relatives.

The pastor  lead the lesson discussion on Waging Peace.

That was followed by MissionSpot Light.

Then it was Praise Time and the vocal and music band worked well to get us singing.

Then was children's story by Beverly and the children's offering taken up by the children.

Her singing brings us who listen so much to enjoy and think about.  Thank you Kim. 

Which ever way you find it easiest to give your tithe and offerings there is a time for this type of sharing at church too. 

So nice to have this young man included in the service by reading the scripture and having prayer in Spanish.

This little turtle was in our row and was being very still and quiet. 

A few weeks ago some good Samaritans saw a turtle walking on the back road and stopped to help it get off the road hopefully to safety.  

It was a church service about Jonathan.  Learning good lessons about this man in the Bible.
