OCC Thanksgiving Program

On October 6th, 2012, we enjoyed a full and interesting program for our Thanksgiving service.  So many different members had a part and did so well with it.

Here are some photos to enjoy and help remember that morning.

An excellent music maker
He smiles and sings and talks in between the different praise times
Praise Team of wonderful people
Keith and Tyler share their guitar music
Our church is blessed with this young man coming!  We all love him.
Story time
Christine shares her vocal solo for us to enjoy
The intro to the children's play about Thanksgiving Gratefulness - Grumbly Hateful or Humbly Grateful?
Kid's Korner kids
He had his all memorized.
Sweet pair
Singing "Silver and Gold Have I None"
Medley of traditional Spirituals. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful voice!
Tyler sings and plays "For the Beauty of the Earth"
Sylvia has one of the five monologues
Can you guess which 'thankful' Bible character Don was portraying?
The spots did not come off too easily even when he 'dipped'.
He memorized his whole part and did a great job.
David had us all listening carefully to see which Bible person he represented. Thank you for your part.
David sharing his monologue Bible character who was also very thankful
Beverly, the last of the five Bible characters to tell us why she is so thankful to God
Jodi came from the farthest away to help lead the singing for the interlude
What a simple but simply thought provoking skit Dave and Jersey shared with us. It was fun too!
Nice so have Grampa put on the skit with his granddaughter
Despite a bad knee injury, Nancy still does her part of singing and also playing the organ. This duet by Karen and Nancy was "Only By Grace."
One of the microphone team. We needed them and they sure did a fine job.
David B. played a well loved hymn called "God's Grace"
Those lovely red apples look appealing to little Liam. He is so sweet.
Grampa sang and played and his granddaughter read The Lord's Prayer at the end. So nice to see teams like this participate so willingly and so well.
Olga shared a wonderful story with us. Her stories are always so interesting and have a good meaning.
Bryn is part of a skit entitled, Problem
Julie is the other half of the skit. We so enjoyed their play.
Zack and his grama, Jerrie Lou, told us about a wonderful ministry of quilt making. After the special quilt is made it is given to a family that lost their home to a fire. God blesses this work they do.
One of the recent quilts made being given to a Rutland family who lost their home to a fire. The quilt is a work of art.
Guitar picking by Dave B.
Nancy sharing her lovely organ music
Jake took photos of some of the beautiful quilts on display at the front of the church
More of the display. Thank you, Jake!
Thankful for stories

Karen had a couple of poems near the end of the program and AJ shared a really thought provoking short video. Then Heidi W. sang "The Prayer" for our last part of the program and Joshua W. led us in closing prayer.

It was a full morning but so many people took part and we enjoy the variety shared. Thank you to Jeff S. who took many of the photos, and also to Jake W. for sharing his photos, too.
