Sabbath of Communion

This Sabbath started out with Prayer time.

It is a privilege to come into an inviting space to share a thought from an uplifting book and then join in prayer with friends.

It is so good to hear others pray. A special gift.

Lesson study with Pastor Josue followed with a nice group there on time for it.

Seems like when the lesson time is used as it should be for hearing others share their findings and thoughts the times moves along so quickly which is what happened this past Sabbath.

It is so great that the music people are right ready to take the next place after Mission Spotlight is finished.

A little reminder to take discussions into the foyer so everyone can hear the mission story well.

The communion table was set and waiting for that part of the service.
So nice that the music team includes different people different Sabbaths.
So nice to have Denise and Erinn and Kim sing together.
Joel shares different sounds on his drum pad.
Tammy was the platform person this Sabbath. She is always very organized and positive up front.
Jody and Dave were wished a very happy 43rd weddding anniversary...
So nice their son and his wife could be here with them from Oregon.

A wonderful time of singing together and then the children's song which everyone seems to enjoy.

A beautiful special music dedicated to mum Shirley ...On  a Hill Far Away.  Shirley  had the 3rd year since her husband Joe s death...it is a difficult time for all with out their spouses or child or loved one.  Lets pray for each one and offer warm words by phone, text or in person to all who need a kindmess.

Bryson willingly read the scripture verse.   So glad he came to OCC.

Prayer time was special as little groups formed and prayer was shared all over the sanctuary.

Pastor introduced the service and how it would go this time.
After reading a few verses  Karissa shared a short testimony.

Then Dave shared a little of his testimony and the way God has led him through his life and helped him change.

The smiles come quickly when this little man comes up to help play the instruments.

It was then time for foot washing like Jesus showed us the example for long long ago.
A men s area and a womens area and a couple s area had been set up for this.

Serving of the symbols of Jesus death for us...the Bread and the Grape Juice.

After church visiting ....

I love it when people share photos they know i will enjoy.
Thank you Joy for sharing the pictures of this very large rose bush.
So beautiful  to see.
Pastor shared the beautiful climbing clematis growing under his care.
