First Sabbath in September of 2012

It was so good to be in our little church again this Sabbath. Seems like we have been gone a lot in the last several months.

Others travel, too -- weddings, relatives to visit, graduations, work, holidays, so many things to have us go off and about. But then we get back home and back to Orchard City SDA church and it is wonderful to meet with our brothers and sisters again.

This Sabbath the KidsKorner was a happy place. Soft animals and interesting songs make for a good learning place about Jesus and His love and care for His creation. The children learn how much He loves us to give us so many wonderful surprises in nature for us to find and see.

You really need to come and visit this room when the children sing this song. It is great to hear. God made the animals all so different.
Fun to wave the banner and sing Jesus Loves Me
Getting stickers at the end of Sabbath School to go on the Little Friend paper
Church service this week was with Pastor Shawn Brummond from Grand Prairie, Alberta. It as so nice to have his wife and two daughters there with him and also his wife's parents.

After the Praise Time and the Children's story, Pastor Brummond introduced his sermon and shared with us about what God wants most from us. There were many guesses but near the end we got on the right track.

Thank you for coming to share with us at OCC, Pastor.

Singing in Praise Time
She enjoyed it up front so much she came back and clapped along with the next song, too
Pastor Brummond shared many good verses and thoughts for us to ponder
She was so interested in the music from this organ she came up to watch during the recessional, then got a few moments to play a note or two with the organist's help

Sweet way to end our church service this Sabbath.

  1. Love all the children pictures! I remember those brightly coloured Jesus Loves Me banners from many years ago. The last picture is my favourite. So sweet to see young kids interested in music and being shown how to make joyful sounds!
