Valentine's Dinner at OCC...

The social committee put on a very lovely Valentine's Day dinner for us on Saturday night.

The area was decorated with white, red and pink. Everything looked very pretty and tasteful.

Servers brought us appies, salad, spaghetti and vegetarian meatballs, with sauce and homemade garlic bread followed by dessert of a small piece of cake and a chocolate-dipped fresh strawberry each.

The games that followed the meal were fun.

Thank you Anglea and Doyle and all of your many helpers who made the evening so pleasant.
(Helpers were Bonnie - Appetizers,  Rina - salad,  Liza - home-made garlic bread, Olga and Angela - veggie meatballs, Bob W., Doug L., and Valerie J. servers, many many decorators, and more. Please let me know who dipped the strawberries.)

The servers were very proper and elegant.
How many jelly beans in the jar?
Two more great servers for the evening meal.
Thank you, Bonnie. They were delicious.
The Planners and Doers
Game time.
She knows what her husband loves to do...fly.
This game was difficult, but good to do. Two teams of two players each were given
three minutes to unscramble 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV.
Both teams got about the same amount unscrambled so all got a little gift... thank you.
Opening up as many candy kisses as possible - with mittens on, and eat them too in a short amount of time.
Great sports Alex and Gay took a turn.
To determine a winner from the tie, Alex and Dave went up against each other.
Hmmmmmmmmm not sure who won. I think Dave might have.
Gordon and Sonja unwrapping those small candy kisses.
Mum and daughter with lovely smiles.
Pretty decorations.

More photos to follow in the next post.

For these photos, if you would like to have a print of your photo, please let Angela know which ones you would like.
Please do not save other people's photos off this blog.
Thanks.

  1. Good pictures - fun reminder of a good evening. To answer your question... I do believe Rena Jacobson was responsible for the delicious salad.

  2. Oh what joy and laughter I see on all the faces! Obviously it was a huge success. I can vouch for how lovely the setting was too.

  3. Hello! Rina Jacobson here :) I really cannot take credit for the salad....I did all the chopping that's all :)
Credit goes to Costco for the dressing and the parmesan! Thanks all for a lovely evening and the opportunity to be a part of it.
