Thursday Evening Bible Marking Group

Last week those who came to the Bible Marking group wanted to have more come this next week.

It was great that last week there were 6 and this week there were 12.

We hope next week it doubles again.

And the group is here for this evening.  Such a nice time together.  We missed you though.  Come next Wed at 7 p.m.  Bring your Bible.

So nice to have Mum and Daughter working together.

Each one has their own Bible and a box of  stickers and lessons.
A holder for all your marking pens... maybe collected over time.

Everyone was involved and trying to keep up with their own stickers and Bibles.

It is a shared space.

Nice to have a little time to chat after the meeting.

Sprouting Class / April 28th

From Joy Ministries

Presenting:  Sprouting Class

Led by Bonnie and Doug Franks.

Bonnie has such great ideas and loves to share her cooking and meal preparation ideas.

After Bonnie started the presentation, Doug took it further along.

They shared what types of foods can be sprouted and why it is so nutritionally good for our bodies.

Doug had mung beans there and it was good to see what actually is needed to do to start sprouts.

Always good to see Pastor Molina and Tammy and Beverly at groups like this.

Alfalfa seeds going to sprout.
These are sure going to be tasty.

Listening to the comments being made.  Listening is a big part of a good leader too.

Can you name these sprouts?

Fit for a king...

The tops of the jars are very important to grow these correctly.

I think this was a jar of sunflower seeds sprouting.

They sure made a good team.
Hope they do another class again.

Then came the eating of the meal Bonnie and friends prepared.
It was a feast.
Each item was made with sprouts.

Chili!!!!

Quite the free meal.
Thank you very much Liza and Bonnie and everyone else who helped out and made food.

Doug showing how to wrap up so as to keep them moist and dark.

Different lids used for different seeds.

They are HUNGRY!!!!

Question time...

Then it was time for the draw.

Lori had all of our names in the dish and picked one winner of a lovely basil plant!!!

And the WINNER is!!!!!

It is Jody!!!

Lori does so many things for our church that we might not always see.
She does so well with draws and gifts like this.
Thank you, Lori and JOY Ministries.

Jody seems very happy with her new lovely plant!!!

A very big thank you to Bonnie and Doug and all who helped put on this very good class.

Oh, we all got to take home a jar ready to begin sprouting.

Sabbath May 25th 2024

A bright and happy Sabbath morning to you all.

 The new quarterlies arrived.

Pick one up before this quart ends.

The Pastor doing double duty today... like many have before and will again... Thanks for leading the lesson discussion.

It is nice when everyone is quiet to listen and watch the short Mission Spotlight that plays right after the Sabbath School lesson.

They are very interesting and helpful to know where the SS mission offering is going for.  Please remember to give your offering each Sabbath as well as a special offering on 13th Sabbath as that is the one that goes to help these special projects.

It is so great to see Bibles coming to church.
So many kinds and wordings.
Think about coming to the Bible Marking class on Wednesday evening.

The Praise Group this Sabbath.
Nice addition to have Bob R back again.
Always nice to have Todd and Denise and Joel.

Joel loves to praise the Lord.

Platform person of the day... Tammy.
Giving announcements.

The team today.  Started with The Old Rugged Cross.

Children's Song Denise and Joel were ready for and brought interesting instruments for the children to play along with.

Olga telling the children's story.
She always has interesting things to tell.

He is easy to listen too and it is great that he comes to add more music to our church.

This couple is such an addition to our church.
They help out so often up front, or at the sound booth or as a deacon.
Sure want to say a big thank you to all the wonderful servants of the Lord.

Pastor Josue starting into his talk for the morning.

He shared this booth with us... Abiding in Jesus.  You might want to read it.

Part of his opening story.

Thank you Pastor for your enthusiasm.

Closing the service with a song.

Thank you team.
