Family Fun Day Part 3

No one knew if this new added feature would work out well or not but it did and was great.

A pet parade!!!

Three cute little dogs entered the parade and won prizes.

Their caretakers seemed pretty happy too.

Doug brought his invisible dog. I don't know if he won a prize or not.

Karen had a lot of great prizes  for the pups to take home.

Next year there might be birds and cats aling with the dogs in the parade.

Karen and Dave had a lot of items for the silent auction on a table under a tent.

Among the items were golf passes, care products, a home made quilt, flower by Lee, and more.

People signed their name and the price they would give and at the end of the 4 hours the people at the end of the list took home that item.

It helped people stay around to see if they got their item and they happily carried them home.

Delisha and Sherika ran the kids craft tent.

It seemed like some children came there and stayed just about the while time.

There was painting and beads and lots or hands stayed busy.

It was great to see them enjoying these activities.

Tammy had the dress up booth.  She had a table full of hats and after people got themselves ready she would take pictures and print them to give to each group.

Lots of smiles and laughter were around d this table.

What a great feature that many enjoyed.

Bouncy houses were a hit from 10 am on to closing time.

The little ones just really enjoyed the space for them to jump and bounce and jump again.

There was no cost for any of the different tables except for the silent action but anyone could give a donation if they wanted too.

The money collected from this event went to or is going too go to Black Mountain school to a reading room where parents and children can enjoy books and reading together ❤️.

Thank you to all volunteers on the day and before  and after the day too.

It takes many people to bring this all together.

A Walmart Gift Card was a gift for a volunteer which happened to be me...it was passed on to friend Edward as he came to help with clean up.

Thank you to everyone for being part of this day.

Seeing people talking together and working together was very good to see.

Jerrie Lou was a greeter and did she greet with friendliness and care.

A few people did not get a pie or cupcakes at the Pie Walk but Kira made a few more so yesterday people stopped by to pick up a pie or cupcakes.

So great to see more happy people.

More photos to follow from the camera.
