Marguerite and Quentin Covey spent Sabbath, January 5th with us at Orchard City, much as they have almost every other Sabbath in the last 15 years since they moved to Kelowna from Nova Scotia.
They were given a long-stemmed rose each in Sabbath School, as they were such wonderful SS members. They were there on time and in their pew each week unless they were away or sick.
What a wonderful example they are to us.
Everyone will miss them so much as they go to make their home in Williams Lake, B.C. close to where their daughter and son-in-law live.
When they come back to visit we will receive them warmly and ask God to bless them in their new location.

Oh, how we will miss them at OCC! |
Covey's are truly a loss to Orchard City church. I miss them already.
ReplyDeleteI missed them there this past Sabbath already too.
DeleteGlad we have their address.
Such a sweet, faithful, willing and devoted couple - thanks to you for the memory photos Glenda
ReplyDeleteJust love this couple and will really miss seeing them in their pew when I come back to visit. Good luck to them both as they set out on their next adventure! Thanks for sharing these special pictures.
ReplyDeleteFrom Paul:
ReplyDeleteA very special couple that I personally will miss. I always liked to greet them early Sabbath mornings in "their" pew. How faithfully they attended church and Sabbath School!
Thanks for these photos Glenda - you do a great job - that final one of the Covey's is beautiful. They are a beautiful couple and have been an inspiration to me. They truly are already missed. (please e-mail me their contact information).
ReplyDeleteI also like the picture of Laura looking so intently at her g'pa!!
